    Situated on river Ramganga, this city is one of the most important places in Uttar Pradesh. It is located at a distance of 167 km from New Delhi. It was founded by Rustam Khan, the Governor of Katihar, during Shahjahan’s rule. The city is named after ‘Murad Baksh’, the youngest son of Emperor Shahjahan.
