  • E-pass has been made mandatory for all international and domestic passengers traveling to Chennai, except those traveling from Karnataka, Puducherry, and Andhra Pradesh.
  • Inter-district travelers do not need an e-pass. However, people travelling to popular tourist spots like Kodaikanal, Nilgiri, and Yercaud within Tamil Nadu need to register on e-pass portal.
  • The Tamil Nadu government has declared a night curfew between 10 pm and 4 am from April 20, adding that all inter and intra-state travel will remain suspended during the restricted period.
  • According to the new statement issued by the state government, public transport buses can ferry passengers only to 50% of their seating capacity.
