• General Quota: This is the usual booking option for all commuters. You can book train reservations up to 120 days in advance.
• Tatkal Quota: Reserved for passengers who need to make travel on short notice. You can book tickets under this quota one day in advance.

The windows for Tatkal train ticket booking is open a day before the departure from the originating station. You must ensure that tickets are booked within the allotted Tatkal train ticket booking time to get confirmed seats.
