About Narsaraopet

Narsaraopet is a town in Guntur district. It is situated in Andhra Pradesh and is renowned as the Gateway of Palnadu. The town derived its name from Narasa Rao. He was a wealthy landlord and owned maximum of the surrounding areas. After Tenali in coastal Andhra Pradesh this town became one of the major commercial trading centre. In Guntur District it is the second largest town and is built on flat land circled by hills.
