What is RailOne?
RailOne is the official railway super app developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) for Indian Railways. It brings together services previously available across different railway apps, so you can access them from one place.
With RailOne, you can book train tickets, check your PNR status, track your train running status, order food during your journey, and raise complaints through Rail Madad. You can also sign in using your existing IRCTC Rail Connect or UTS account, so there’s no need to create a separate login.
RailOne Features & Services
As mentioned earlier, RailOne is an integrated app that brings together different railway services under one (digital) roof. Here are some of the key features and services you can access through the RailOne app:
1. Train Ticket Booking
RailOne makes train ticket booking simpler. You can use the app to book:
- Reserved train tickets, including Tatkal tickets.
- Unreserved and season tickets.
- Platform tickets when not travelling.
You can also search trains by route, travel class, and quota and check train ticket availability before planning trips. If you travel the same route often, you can save your travel preferences so you can search for and book tickets more quickly next time.
2. PNR Status and Journey Details
You can use RailOne to check your PNR status, including your ticket confirmation, waitlist, or RAC status online. You can also manage your booking online, track ticket cancellations, and check refund status through the ‘My Bookings’ section of the app.
3. Live Train Tracking
You don’t have to visit the NTES website to track your train. The live train tracking feature of RailOne lets you check the current location of your train in minutes. You can also check the expected arrival and departure timings at upcoming stations, get updates on delays, and more through the app.
4. Train Coach Position
The train coach position feature of the app is a useful addition. It helps you locate the exact position of your train’s coach right before it arrives at the station, making it easier to find the right boarding spot on the platform.
5. Food Delivery on Trains
RailOne also makes ordering food on railway journeys easier. The app lets you order food from IRCTC-approved vendors and apps like Swiggy and Zomato. You can use your PNR number to access this feature, browse menus, and place orders for delivery to your seat at designated stations.
6. Rail Madad
If you wish to raise complaints (with audio, images, and videos) or share feedback and suggestions about railway services, you can do so through the Rail Madad section of the app. You can even request emergency assistance at the station or on the train and track the status of a previous complaint.
7. R-Wallet
The app includes an integrated R-Wallet that makes payments easier. You can add money to the R-Wallet and use it to pay for train ticket bookings. You can pay quickly using your mPIN/biometric login without switching between apps.
8. Login Options
The best part about RailOne is that you can sign in with your existing IRCTC Rail Connect or UTS login details. Once you’ve signed in, you can access the app with your mPIN or biometric data.
