Vapi is the largest city in the Valsad district and it is the only city connecting two union territories - Daman & Diu and Dadra-Nagar Haveli. The Vapi town originally belonged to the communities of Koli Patel, Desai (Anavil Bramhins) & similar tribal castes. It is now the largest industrial area in Asia in terms of small-scale industries, dominated by chemical industry plants. The presence of large number of industries makes it the most polluted region of the state as well. The National Highway 8 passes through Vapi, linking it to all major cities of India. As Vapi is the only place from where one can visit Daman and Silvassa, visitors from all over frequent the city. Buses are the main means of transport here and many city bus services are available in Vapi.

To begin with the bus was an hour late coming into Vapi and travel agent informed us that it would be 15-20 mins late only. Anyways, we waited by the road for an hour but once the bus was there everything went so smooth. Our eticket was checked by the helper on our phone, luggage was taken and we were given a stub for it, seat number was verified once we boarded. The AC temperature was perfect inside and so was the cleanliness of the bus. My husband enjoyed the movie that was playing onboard and the 2 hrs 20 mins went by like anything. VRLs Volvo buses are the best when we want to travel by road. Big thanks to their staff for keeping their vehicles in amazing condition and for getting the passengers to their destination happily :)
