Located in the southwestern region of Maharashtra, on the banks of River Panchaganga, lies the historical city of Kolhapur. The presence of numerous religious centers like Mahalakshmi Temple which is known for its ancient architectural style, Jyotiba Temple, Katyani Temple, Binkhambi Ganesh Mandir, Kopeshwara Temple, BhawaniTemple and Gagangiri Maharaj Math, some of them found dotting the holy river, has given the name ‘dakshinkashi’ to this city. Other than the religious presence, the city houses several forts and other historical places. Some of the major places to visit in this well-connected town are the Maharaja’s palace also known as the New palace, Shahji Chatrapati museum, Vishalgad Fort, Irwin Agricultural Museum, Radhanagari Dam, Wax museum and Bhavani Mandap, the oldest and biggest structure in Kolhapur also known as ‘glory of the city’. And who can forget about the popular and uniquely designed Kolhapuri chappals that are exported to all over the world.

A rich state in the olden times, Hyderabad attracted people from far and wide to it. Even today the remnants of its historical past are visible everywhere in the city add.
Berths were dirty. AC was poor, suffocating. Bus was very noisy. Could not sleep throughout the night. Not at all worth paying Rs. 1500 for a ride in this third rate bus.
I had booked the return tickets for Kolhapur to Hyderabad.I am sorry to say at both the times the bus was not on time. Also the bus were changed at last minute. While travelling from Kolhapur to Hyderabad we were asked to vacate the bus & change the bus enroute after midnight. We were standing on the highway with our baggage at 2.30 Hrs to 4.30 hrs. Other bus operator provided us the service & finally reached Hyderabad outskirts at 10 Hrs instead of Lakadi ka pool at 6 Hrs.
Such a Bad experience with this travel. Mid way Bus changed. No charging Point. Staff are rude. Drop us on outskirt no drop van. Never advice anybody to travel by this Bus.
I thought the bus departure and arrival are as per the mentioned on red.bus website but they are completely wrong, bus arrived 20 min late and I reached Hyderabad at 9:30 this is ridiculous, due to which I reached office 2 hrs late, please understand why customers book ticket cost which are 3 times more cost than normal bus ticket. Adhere to your own timings which you mention.
