Located in the southwestern region of Maharashtra, on the banks of River Panchaganga, lies the historical city of Kolhapur. The presence of numerous religious centers like Mahalakshmi Temple which is known for its ancient architectural style, Jyotiba Temple, Katyani Temple, Binkhambi Ganesh Mandir, Kopeshwara Temple, BhawaniTemple and Gagangiri Maharaj Math, some of them found dotting the holy river, has given the name ‘dakshinkashi’ to this city. Other than the religious presence, the city houses several forts and other historical places. Some of the major places to visit in this well-connected town are the Maharaja’s palace also known as the New palace, Shahji Chatrapati museum, Vishalgad Fort, Irwin Agricultural Museum, Radhanagari Dam, Wax museum and Bhavani Mandap, the oldest and biggest structure in Kolhapur also known as ‘glory of the city’. And who can forget about the popular and uniquely designed Kolhapuri chappals that are exported to all over the world.

Im sharing my #worst #neetatravels experience on all social media platforms as well as their official page, anticipating a revert from them as well as to warn all customers for such an erratic & stupid behavior... Lady travellers & young mothers with toddlers, please beware. I booked a Neeta Volvo bus ticket & my ticket number was TJA767752695 & I had booked though rebus.in. Journey date 10th September 16 from Kolhapur to Goa (Margao specified on the journey). The bus was supposed to start at 4 pm from Kolhapur, but due to some problems, the bus broke down at Satara (2.5 hours before Kolhapur) and a new bus was reported at 7:30 pm. To all the passengers astonishment, apparently the bus driver didnt know the route to take the bus out of Kolhapur city to Mumbai Goa highway, so the bus did rounds within Kolhapur city for 1.5 hrs and then proceeded. After struggling, they called their office and two lads came on a bike to show the route and guide the Mercedes-Benz bus! A lot of struggle and finally the bus was back on track at 9:15pm. The bus reached Panjim at 3am, & to our surprise the driver said he wont go until the last stop which is margao. I, along with three other passengers had booked for Margao drop, but once we reached Panjim, the driver denied and said you can complain Neeta travels or do whatever you want, we have been instructed to drop all at Panjim and return to Belgaum, I will not go ahead. At 3am, we 4 passengers were left stranded. This is highly unprofessional & I will definitely approach the consumer court for this horrendous behavior & leaving a customer in the middle of the night in between the journey. I had to hunt for a cab in the middle of the night, to which, being Goa, there is no local transportation available & the cabbie has bargained and settled on a charge of Rs. 1200/-. More than the charges or any other thing, the amount of frustration that the passengers have gone through was horrible. The original journey for most passengers was Pune to Goa, a bus that started at 11am on 10th September & reached Panjim at 3am on 11th September and denied to go until Margao! Bravo #neetatravels #neetavolvo #neveragain AWAITING A REVERT FROM REDBUS
Took a very long time to reach Goa. Poor service
Dear RedBus, I travelled from kolhapur to Goa with Neeta travels. The experience was horrible. The bus came 1 hr 20 min late and the staff was completely non co-operative in helping during the delay. The bus too was extremely unhygienic and unclean. Horrible experience.
Bus was late over two hours, i was accommodatedin other bus, with 30mins delay.
