Anantapur is one of the major cities in the newly formed state of Seemandhra. It has gained a lot of importance because it is the Birth Place of Sri Satya Sai Baba, a world-renowned spiritual leader. It lies towards the westernmost part of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. Anantapur is a classic example of how ancient history and modern life can go hand in hand. A great pilgrim centre, Anantapur is also the largest district of the state. It is bordered on north by Kurnool, on the east by Cuddapah and Chittoor and on the south and west by the Karnataka State. Anantapur is well connected with other parts of Seemandhra as well as the neighbouring states of Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. It is well known for its silk trade in the present times. The Lepakshi temple and Puttaparthi Ashram of Sai Baba in Anantapur district are some of the most famous tourist attractions of South India.
Very bad experience, AC not worked after two hours of journey, huge accident and stuck up in the traffic about four hours. We called our people to pick up us from bus as we are getting late for the state level games for our children upto 16 hours the bus has not reached the destination. total hectic experience with this juorney. Very bad.
For a journey of about 8 hours thers was no break where lady passangers could attend nature calls ...this is intentional by the team
Smelly blankets packed to look like freshly laundered ones, inconvenient for ladies as no stops at places with toilet facilities; my wife had to go to the bushes to pass urine last night! Driver was very fast and so the ride was quite bumpy, took only 8 hours from Guntur to Anantapur. Staff reasonably courteous and understanding.
Such a worse maintenance.... the bus caretakers allows the unknown passengers onjjourney to occupy unfilled seats.... the unknown passengers were in drunken and so entire bus smells very badly... Moreover they are seeking passengers in each stops its very irritating like an ordinary RTC bus with no of stops
