I took the Orange Tours Travels, Mercedes Benz Multi Axle (2+2) from Chennai to Bangalore. It was a 50-50 experience for me. There was no sense of punctuality and no remorse for the delay either. The pick-up van failed to reach the pick-up point for 1.5 hours, and all the Orange helpline could offer during that period was a standard sympathetic Hell be there in 10-15 mins, Madam!. Finally, on calling them a fourth time, I was told that the pick-up van broke down and Id have to find my way to the starting point on my own (Koyambedu). Apart from this agonizing wait in the wee hours of the morning, the actual journey was quite pleasant. Clean bus (Albeit the blankets really need washing), good staff, good driving and a comfortable journey. But the lack of information and the unreasonable delay is what makes me rethink my choice. Ill be sure to book by another travel company next time, as such time delays put a lot of pressure on my work schedule.
