Vijayawada is one of the biggest cities of Andhra Pradesh. Located atop the Krishna delta, the city lies between River Budameru on the north and the Indrakiladri Hills on the west. The meaning of the word Vijayawada is – ‘The Place of Victory’. It is said that the city was named Vijayawada when Lord Shiva blessed Arjuna on the Indrakiladri Hills. Another version is that the city got the name as Goddess Durga killed a demon she became ‘Vijaya’ (victorious) and the place where she rested became ‘Vijayawada’. Vijayawada is an ancient city and was ruled by kings like Madhava Varma, Chalukyas and Krishna Deva Raya among others. Vijayawada is now a well-developed trade centre of the state. Sitting in last row is a very very worst condition that to in middle seat
Hi, The bus seating is very bad, there is no leg rest which is having a huge impact, legs started paining after 2 hours of journey & the journey was late by 2 hours, when it is long distance journey it is better dont enter all cities(like Tirupathi, Nellore) better use By-pass routes to ensure you save time. you cant give tickets to people who want to get down in Tirupathi, this was given by bus driver not by reservation. The Dinner break was very far from Bangalore and ended up at 10.15PM in the night in Palamaner and the food quality is very bad... Finally i would never prefer APSRTC , AMARAVATHI (VOLVO / SCANIA A.C Multi Axle), but i have good experience with other travels with SCANIA A.C Multi Axle...
the cost is too high compare to all the travels and there is no difference between normal travels and to this except a water bottle all the thins are same as other travels
Bus quality is good, there are no footrests provided in the bus, a bit difficult sleeping in the bus.vijayawada scheduled arrival time is mentioned 6;30am but reached two hours late.
