Lonavala, often called Lonavla is a picturesque hill resort situated in the Pune district of Maharashtra. A popular getaway destination, Lonavala is famous for the unique charm that it possesses, especially during the Monsoons. Although it is more renowned as a hill resort, the place has achieved a special place in the gastronomic chart of the country because of a hard candy sweet known as chikki (sweetmeat made out of Groundnuts and Jaggery), which is the specialty of the region. It is also a major railway station placed on the railway line connecting Mumbai and Pune. Lonavala is also an important town along the Mumbai-Pune road. That the place is important is apparent from the fact that both the major highways - the Mumbai-Pune Expressway as well as the Mumbai-Pune highway - passes through Lonavala. Lonavala is the ideal spot to spend a quiet weekend with family and friends, away from the fast-paced city life.
Very bad experience with the SRS bus. Staffs are really very rude and ill-mannered.Bus quality is also not up to the mark.
Multi axle really ? It didnt feel so at all. Left from Bangalore on time but when it reached Lonavala it was 2.5 hours late.
pickup was at 4PM, bus turned up at 6:30 PM. if bandh was the reason, you should have dropped an sms to all passengers regarding delay in pickup.
Post Kolhapur bus is stopping to fill seats delaying the bus by more than 2 hrs.
