Kanyakumari, formerly known as Cape Comorin, lies at the southernmost tip of India. This popular tourist destination gets its name from the Hindu Goddess Kanyakumari. A temple dedicated to Kumara Amman is located at the confluence of the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean. Kanyakumari is famous for its great vantage point for viewing an uninterrupted sunset and sunrise. During Chithra pournami one can even watch the sunset and moonrise at the same time. Other than the Kanyakumari temple, this place is famous for the Vivekananda rock memorial, Gandhi memorial building, Dhyana mandapam, and the 41m tall statue of Tamil saint-poet Thiruvalluvar. Spots like Padmanabhapuram Palace, Courtellam Falls, and Suchindram are not very far from Kanyakumari and can be visited from here. Kanyakumari is also known for its shell products that is a thriving cottage industry here. The multi-coloured beach is the best place to spend an evening.
Excellent service. I had a good sleep. Only problem was movies were not in Hindi. Atleast they could switch off tv when people sleep.
every thing was perfect except the last part where the bus driver asked me to get a cab from nagercoil to kanyakumari, but the cab driver didnt take my call
They changed the boarding point from Bommanahalli to silkboard at the last moment and made me wait for 40 minutes at the starting of electronic city flyover in the middle of the road in the night with my wife and kids along with luggage. In the morning they dropped at Nagercoil and finally ended up hiring an auto to Kanyakumari and I paid 420 Rs. Such an irresponsible travel. I will complain in the consumer court.
The bus in which I traveled looked new. Staff is friendly and helpful. Overall journey was very comfortable. Leg room could have been better.
