Anantapur is one of the major cities in the newly formed state of Seemandhra. It has gained a lot of importance because it is the Birth Place of Sri Satya Sai Baba, a world-renowned spiritual leader. It lies towards the westernmost part of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. Anantapur is a classic example of how ancient history and modern life can go hand in hand. A great pilgrim centre, Anantapur is also the largest district of the state. It is bordered on north by Kurnool, on the east by Cuddapah and Chittoor and on the south and west by the Karnataka State. Anantapur is well connected with other parts of Seemandhra as well as the neighbouring states of Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. It is well known for its silk trade in the present times. The Lepakshi temple and Puttaparthi Ashram of Sai Baba in Anantapur district are some of the most famous tourist attractions of South India.
Vijayawada is one of the biggest cities of Andhra Pradesh. Located atop the Krishna delta, the city lies between River Budameru on the north and the Indrakiladri Hills on the west. The meaning of the word Vijayawada is – ‘The Place of Victory’. It is said that the city was named Vijayawada when Lord Shiva blessed Arjuna on the Indrakiladri Hills. Another version is that the city got the name as Goddess Durga killed a demon she became ‘Vijaya’ (victorious) and the place where she rested became ‘Vijayawada’. Vijayawada is an ancient city and was ruled by kings like Madhava Varma, Chalukyas and Krishna Deva Raya among others. Vijayawada is now a well-developed trade centre of the state. It is well connected with other parts of the state by means of roadways and railways. Several bus services are available to various cities like Hyderabad, Secundarabad, Chennai, Pune, Vizag, and Bangalore among others.
good service and provide tracking facility for bus
The whole journey was satisfactory except that the bus had a lot of mosquitoes which made me think about traveling in the same service again. No drinking water was provided
No charger was available in the bus ?? Tires condition is very bad ?? Sufficient tools are not available in the bus for minor repairs like tire puncture?? When one tire is punctured it is getting late for passengers and if both tires are punctured the conditions of passengers will be on road till morning from that time ??
I would like to journey always in kesineni travels. Red bus is the easy way to book tickets
