Pune, a hilly city located at the confluence of Mula and Mutha rivers on the Deccan plateau in the state of Maharashtra is the seventh largest metropolis. Pune is also known as the cultural capital of Maharashtra. Pune houses fantastic restaurants, museums and is surrounded by hill forts. Pune is also well known as the largest city in the Western Ghats. It is known for its educational facilities and relative prosperity. Pune is the cultural capital of Maharashtra, and is famous for its manufacturing industries like glass, sugar, and forging since the 1950-60s. Jawaharlal Nehru had called this city as “Oxford of The East” due to existence of many major educational institutes. The city also has been known for cultural activities like classical music, spirituality, theatre, sports, and literature. The job opportunities attract migrants and students from all over India and abroad, which makes it a city of multi communities and cultures.
VRL Travels took two halts and that too very long. Due to that bus beame 3 -4 Hrs late.
Baroda passengers bus simply drops them on highway and go ahead to Ahmadabad. It is not good for safety of passenger especially if they are women. they should mention it before booking where they are going to drop them. so people think before booking.
Further improvement can be made by having the following: 1. punctuality for move from start point. 2. having a route chart with pickup points along with the ticket, route preferably outside the city congestion areas. 3. Having smaller buses for city pickup with timings to take the passengers to the main stops/pickup points. On the whole my said journey was good and thank the staff for good behavior.
dont book upper tickets you r not able to sit because hight space is to small. bus is converted from volvo to sleeper.
