India’s intercity bus market is ever-evolving. Given the constantly changing and highly fragmented nature of India’s bus ecosystem, comprehensive and reliable data is limited. redBus India Bus Track report aims to bridge this gap by providing a consolidated, data-driven view of the sector.
redBus conducted an independent survey to understand consumer sentiment towards government-owned intercity bus services (RTCs) across India. The objective was to capture how passengers perceive RTCs – what works well, what doesn’t, and what influences travel choices in this segment.
In an ecosystem where passenger feedback on government-run bus services is limited and fragmented, the survey brings together structured and open-ended insights from both RTC users and non-users. Respondents shared feedback on a specific state-level RTC, enabling more contextual and meaningful insights.
This report aims to provide clarity and transparency for an underrepresented segment of the intercity bus market, helping stakeholders better understand traveller expectations and areas for improvement.
