The Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) manages on 2119 routes, with a fleet of 2005 buses. The HRTC bus service remains the main mode of transport in the hilly state of Himachal Pradesh with buses maneuvering around the hair-pin bends on the elevated mountains. You also have an option of HRTC online booking, where you can book your tickets online without having to go to the reservation office.
To book your HRTC ticket through redBus.in, click on the HRTC booking page on the redBushome page under the footer links, and select your destination, and your journey date. You can filter the results that turn up based on the amenities available, the type of bus and the boarding and dropping points. View the seat layout, and choose your seats from the seats available. The HRTC Bus schedule can be viewed in here as well. Select your boarding point, and click on Continue. Fill in your details, and choose your payment option. You can pay through your Debit Card, Credit Card, Net banking, or with PayU money. You will receive the HRTC e-ticket on your mail ID, or you will receive an sms with the ticket details.
If you want to cancel your HRTC ticket, choose the “Easy Cancel/Refund” option on the home page. You will need your Trip ID that is mentioned in the e-ticket or the SMS sent to your phone, and the e-mail address that was used to book the ticket. Review your refund amount, and click on Cancel. If you paid by cash or used a cash coupon towards payment, you can choose NEFT or get an equivalent cash coupon issued immediately to your email. Your will receive an acknowledgement of the cancellation on your email ID, or your phone. Cancellation of a single ticket from bulk booking is also possible.
HRTC runs several different buses like HRTC Volvo, HRTC ISUZU, HRTC Deluxe, HRTC Air Conditioned Buses, JNNURM buses ( HRTC Mini Buses), Ordinary, and Semi-Deluxe buses.
The journey was good. The bus service was dot punctual. Staff behaviour with everyone on board was good.
On time. Stopped at a good restaurants for food.
This is a very bad experience on this travel and the same with return also. The ticket I booked is from Delhi to Manali and vice versa. But the buses dont go to destination as we booked. We have to exchange the bus in Kullu which was not informed by you inspire of having the information. Very cumbersom
All the buses on that route are of poor quality. It a long journey. Buses should be better and comfortable. Whole body was paining after the journey.
