Horrible. Instead of Volvo A/C bus, the operator transported using another bus from Velankanni to Thiruvarur and after making me wait for an hour, a non-A/c old Leyland bus took me till Coimbatore and I had to get a train to reach Ernakulam. Please refund my money.
Terrible. The Volvo Multi Axle A/C bus never arrived. Instead I had to ride 2 busses (non A/C Leyland) and was dropped off at Coimbatore instead of Ernakulam. I need my money back.
Universal bus service sucks.they keep waking u up at night to change buses every time...ppl had to change bus even 3 times. We paid for ac but was asked to travel in non ac fr more than 4 hrs.we reached 3 hrs after the mentioned timw
I am sorry to say Universal travels is one of the worst bus operator i have ever experienced so far. Firstly, the scheduled departure time was 09:30 Pm from Velankanni, but when we reached the boarding point, we were told rudely that its 10:30 pm and the internet would show different timings for which they are not responsible. When the bus finally arrived after waiting for an hour and a half, we were hoping that at least now we can enjoy a peaceful ride back home but that was not to be. From the time the bus started moving there was a rattling sound coming from under the bus as if something is hitting on the bus from underneath. Not only was the sound disturbing it was making it impossible for anyone to sleep in the bus. So after a while I personally went and informed the bus conductor about the sound. At first he was hesitant to come and check the sound, however on the drivers insistence he reluctantly came into the cabin and heard the banging sound himself. He was however casual about it and rudely told us that he cannot do anything about it as its their tool box moving inside the cargo compartment under the bus and he left hurriedly. We were left surprised by his callous attitude but decided to let it go and go back to sleep. We were struggling vigorously to ignore the sound and find some sleep when horror struck again. Like we feared at about 02:30 am in the middle of nowhere the bus broke down. All we could do was wait helplessly. After about 06 hours by around 08:30 am,when we should have actually reached Kochi another bus arrived to take us home. This second bus was neither a Volvo nor a multi axle as we were originally booked but decided to accept it nevertheless. Then, after driving for about couple of hours the bus halted once again and we were asked to change to another bus which was again not a volvo. Finally at about 03:00 pm we reached Kochi around 08 hours late.
