The bus time was at 6pm, but I was asked to wait till 6.45pm. Finally I was asked to board the bus at 8pm and was allotted a different seat instead of the seat I booked. Seems that the 6pm service was cancelled and was not communicated to us. Not a good service.

Travelled thrice in the bus. Broke down twice. 5 hrs delay once, 3 this time.
While the bus was very clean and well appointed, the privacy screen on my berth was damaged and could not be pulled down. I found this uncomfortable especially since I was the only female on the bus for the first 4 hours of the journey, and I was travelling alone. I was allowed to shift to another berth only after the bus reached Thirunelveli, though more than half the bus was empty. Unfortunately, the other berth also had a problem with the screen and it would not stay down. Also, the personal video screen would not stay up when folded back, and kept dropping down, which made it a little dangerous when you sat up. But it was a double berth to myself , so it wasnt too bad. On the plus side, the ride itsef is smoother and they stop at much cleaner toilets than the Volvos. The journey is 2 1/2 hours shorter and the bus left and reached bang on time. Gets really cold on the upper berths, so carry warm clothes.
