For us foreigners (West Europe), this bus trip of 5 hours was an adventure. The trip was beautiful and the staff was kind and helpful. The start point in Ooty was a bit unclear, just a vague description and no sign. It was good that in the 5 hours, we got a short break 2 times (for toilet, for a drink). The road itself was sometimes quite bad, or with a lot of difficult speed breakers. In the bus they started a film. In west Europe we would not have chosen for such a film with a lot of violence (especially for the few children in the bus like ours), but we were guests in India so I dont want to complain. After that, it was silent and some of us fell sort of asleep. Not such a good idea was to put a DVD with music on again, while quite some persons slept. With an extremely loud volume! My son woke up and was very unhappy. Happily, the driver responded to my question to put the volume low, he even switched it off completely, very kind. We saw a wild elephant! The trip ended late evening with something very good: the bus brought us directly to our hotel! We had not expected that and are still very thankful.
This 2+2 seater is a mini van and is very uncomfortable. Very difficult for two people to sit. Got very bad knee pain as the front seats were hiting on my knees. And no enough space for your luggage. I will never travel in this vehicle again.
Bus was a smaller one & duffrent from whch was shown for seat booking. Staff really good. answered all queries calmly. Also dropped at doorstep of hotel as it was night 11.00. good ratings provided due to Staff behaviour only.
Buss luggage storage was very dirty. Our backpack got very dirty. Bus started very late from ooty. Driver was very rude and was an immature driver. Because of his poor driving skills, our whole trip got spoiled. We were planned to reach mysore at 10PM but because of the driver, we could reach to the mudumallai only by 9PM and we had to arrange for urgent accomodation at some dirty lodge. We had accomodation at Mysore for which our money got wasted.
