Ahmedabad is a vibrant city located in the heart of the state of Gujarat. It is an amazing tourist destination offering tourists a rich blend of history and modernism. Ahmedabad served as the cradle for India's Non-Violent Movement and is today the commercial hub of Gujarat and as such the region is pretty well developed. There are plenty of interesting tourist attractions in the region, like the Gandhi Ashram, Akshardham Temple, Bhadra Fort and much more. One of the best times to visit the region is during the festival of Diwali, which is celebrated with much grandeur in the region. Also when in Ahmedabad don't forget to shop for the local textiles, which is a speciality of the region.
