There is nothing positive to write about, except that the bus picked up me in time but, alas, please, read on:
At the fag end of the journey, the bus reached Nagapattinam and travelled to Velankanni, in the reverse direction. Midway, the passengers bound for Karaikal, Chidambaram, and Pondicherry were asked to alight and board a non-AC sleeper third class bus coming in the opposite direction. That bus was already full and I had no seat to sit.
It is understood from co-passengers that M/S Universel Travels has been routinely resorting to such stupid and unscrupulous action to avoid further running of AC buses, to save diesel.
Universal Travels operates from a non-descript place and you cannot expect them to be professional in their business. Their aim is to make quick buck through such mean minded actions like curtailing AC services midway, or faking faulty AC, to cheat the hapless passengers.
It is very difficult to contact any responsible person of Universel Trav. even for me, who is a native of Karaikal. They rarely answer any call, and, if inadvertently they respond, they keep shifting the blame on some other person. For this, they have a ridiculous hierarchy of MD, GM, Manager, and so on.
It is relevant here to recall my last feed back to you, after my travel from Coimbatore to Karaikal, without AC, after paying for AC travel. Till date, the AC charges have not been refunded to me.
Kindly remove M/S Universel Travels from your portal, before your valued customers complain about extortion of money by this bus operator.
By the by, please note the spelling of Universel which tells a hundred things about their concern for quality.
