About Lucknow

Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh, is known best for its rich cultural and traditional heritage. Also known as the ‘the epitome of Shia culture’, Lucknow is situated on the banks of river Gomti. A hub for culture, politics and art, this place which was named after Lakshman from the epic Ramayana, flourished during the rule of Nawabs. The Nawabs not only brought in with them the finesse of art and culture, but also the famous Nawabi cuisine which includes finger licking dishes that include kebabs, kormas,  sheermal, roomali rotis, and warqi parathas.

Being the state capital, Lucknow is home to the Vidhan Sabha, High Court and a lot of government offices.

The Nawabs, Mughals and British have left their legacy in the form of heritage monuments like Asafi Imambara popularly known as Bara Imambara, Chhota Imambara, Rumi Darwaza, British Residency and Shah Najaf. The other sightseeing options include Sikandar Bagh, Lucknow Zoo and State Museum, Botanical Gardens and Kaiserbagh Palace complex

Please share the BUS number when booking a ticket and the route of the bus. It was very difficult to find the bus and the quality of the bus was not soo good. No TV, and too cold a\c, no blankets etc. Why the charge of Rs 1200/- then? Bad experience overall.
