To start with the conductor who received us at Goa Mapusa was very polite prompt and helpful but the pickup bus from Mapusa to panjim was tied up with another seabird mysore bus which delayed us by 1/2hr. Later when we reached panjim the bus got more delayed by about 45mins, apparently some problem with the other seabird bus passenger list. Then there was a argument over a lady passenger who had a adjacent lady seat occupied by a male, who would not change seats and that wasted more time, the bus conductor tried to sort it out but could not and the lady passenger left the bus to board another bus. Then we started and around south Goa margao realised that the passenger list of two seabird buses ( sleeper and non sleeper to bangalore) were mixed up adding to the confusion and more time wasting. Then we finally left but the bus driver had taken onboard two unbooked stoaway passengers pocketing 2000 rupees himself and the conductor. Finally when we started we realised the charging point was not working as the ups panel was not working apparently for the last 3 trips of Chennai Bangalore On asking the bus driver why all the confusion he himself said that seabird is a very disorganized bus service and we should not book it, also that the mechanic assigned to do the repairs doesn't do it at all and he is a temporary repair guy at the workshop. Also on being asked of why the booking confusion we were told that the manager does the bookings allotments and which bus number goes to which city and that is also done last minute thus the confusion. The driver also mentioned some trouble with the pickup of the bus which was not repaired by the mechanic for long. Imagine this bus is going to go through the ghats with such trouble. The driving full night was very fast, rash and very bumpy and when we finally reached Bangalore we reached almost 2hrs late. Then we had to go to a very old and uncomfortable pickup bus to take us to the bangalore Chennai bus, we reached there to late and finally got on the bus to Chennai. Luckily the charge point was working and the bus driver and conductor was very helpful and the ride was more comfortable. Overall very disappointed that redbus reccomends such a bus service, I may never use redbus again until I have no option to do so, I will certainly not recommend the redbus portal for bookings and as for seabird I think they should be asked to stop running the business before a serious accident happens to wake them up and wake redbus too for supporting such travel companies.
