About Chidambaram

Chidambaram is one of the most revered temple towns in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is situated at a distance of 58 km south of Pondicherry. Located in the central-east of Tamil Nadu in the Coleroon River Valley, Chidambaram was also known as ‘Thillai’ as the area was a forest full of Thillai Shrubs in the olden days. Apart from the famous Nataraja Temple, Chidambaram is also home to other temples like the Kali temple and the Vaidyanatheshwara Temple. Some other temples located near the Nataraja Temple are the Arulmigu Thillaikali Amman Temple, Tiruvetkalam Temple, Vadieeswaran Temple, Sivakamiamman Temple and Chathapurinathar Temple, to name a few. Annamalai University and the Pitchavaram backwaters are the other attractions in the city, which attracts several travellers.     the bus was one hour late. it mentioned in the ticket 11.15 and it came 12.06 to boarding point. i suffered a lot during the rain

    A bus with broken glass ! We had to travel in the same bus from chidambaram to chennai without mirror. Front full mirror is broken. 11.50 was boarding time and we started from chidambaram by 2.45 which I the worst ever in my travel experience

    The bus timing was about 11.45 pm. But the bus came only at 2.00 AM without front glass. The driver wore a helmet and drove the bus. We were compelled to travel bus by the Universal agent. Very very very (you can add any number of verys) worst service.
