Dharamshala is an upbeat hill station situated in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. After the arrival of Dalai Lama to this city, Dharamshala has evolved as a religious centre for the followers of Buddhism. The chief means of transportation in the city is by the means of public and private busses. The chief Dharamshala bus stand is located in the lower Dharamshala region but the Haryana state busses can be boarded from the way to the main square of the McLeod Ganj. Dharamshala to Delhi, Manali and Dehradun are the most popular routes that have both state and private busses plying at frequent Dharamshala bus timings.
The bus driver and the conductor were very helpful. Only problem I faced was the delay on the arrival of bus. I was not given this no. For the bus agency or the driver.
All the above points were met as per standards. But the main thing like boarding point was not mentioned in the E-ticket and unfortunately we could not connect with any thru the number given in the website. Maybe its a known thing for people living in Chandigarh that volvos start from sec 43 and not sec 17. As per the instructions from a few locals we reached sec 17 to realise it is actually from sec 43 and had to literally run and break traffic rules to reach on time. It would be great if you can actually mention the boarding point precisely.
While the bus arrived more than an hour late at an ungodly hour, the bus was good and so was the staff behaviour.
only thing good was the condition of the bus although the reading lamps were not working , the staff was worst.
