Important Points


1. redBus* is ONLY a bus ticket agent. It does not operate bus services of its own. In order to provide a comprehensive choice of bus operators, departure times and prices to customers, it has tied up with many bus operators.

redBus’ advice to customers is to choose bus operators they are aware of and whose service they are comfortable with.

redBus’ responsibilities include:

    -     Issuing a valid ticket (a ticket that will be accepted by the bus operator) for its’ network of bus operators
    -     Providing refund and support in the event of cancellation
    -     Providing customer support and information in case of any delays / inconvenience

redBus’ responsibilities do NOT include:

    -    The bus operator’s bus not departing / reaching on time
    -    The bus operator’s employees being rude
    -    The bus operator’s bus seats etc not being up to the customer’s expectation
    -    The bus operator canceling the trip due to unavoidable reasons 
    -    The baggage of the customer getting lost / stolen / damaged
    -    The bus operator changing a customer’s seat at the last minute to accommodate a lady / child
    -    The customer waiting at the wrong boarding point (please call the bus operator to find out the exact
          boarding point if you are not a regular traveler on that particular bus)
    -    The bus operator changing the boarding point and/or using a pick-up vehicle at the boarding point to take
          customers to the bus departure point

* redBus means to include redBus and its partner outlets (Sify, Subhiksha, Done Card, Itz Cash etc)

2. The arrival and departure times mentioned on the ticket are only tentative timings . However the bus will not leave the source before the time that is mentioned on the ticket.

3. Passengers are required to furnish the following at the time of boarding the bus:
    -    A copy of the ticket (A print out of the ticket or the print out of the ticket e-mail). 
    -    Identity proof (Driving license, Student ID card, Company ID card, Passport, PAN card or Voter ID card).

Failing to do so, they may not be allowed to board the bus.

4. Change of bus: In case the bus operator changes the type of bus due to some reason, redBus will refund the differential amount to the customer upon being intimated by the customers in 24 hours of the journey.

5. Cancellation Policy: The tickets booked through redBus are cancelable. Kindly note that the money is not transferred back to the passenger's credit/debit card. Instead the money will be refunded in the form of a Cash Coupon which can be used during your next transaction. This coupon is valid up to 6 months from the date of cancellation.

The following is the cancellation fee: Between 24 hours to 3 days before journey the cancellation charge is 10%. Between 3 days to 1 week before journey the cancellation charge is 5%.

Please note that the cancellation fee and cancellation period may differ from one bus operator to another. Please contact any of our executives for complete details or enter your ticket number on the print ticket tab to read the cancellation policy for your ticket.

6. In case one needs the refund to be credited back to his/her bank account, please write your cash coupon details to support@redbus.in

* The transaction charges or the home delivery charges, will not be refunded in the event of ticket cancellation

7. In case a booking confirmation e-mail and sms gets delayed or fails because of technical reasons or as a result of incorrect e-mail ID / phone number provided by the user etc, a ticket will be considered 'booked' as long as the ticket shows up on the confirmation page of www.redBus.in.

Communication Policy

1. By accepting the terms and conditions the customer accepts that redBus may send the alerts to the mobile phone number provided by the customer while registering for the service or to any such number replaced and informed by the customer. The customer acknowledges that the alerts will be received only if the mobile phone is in ‘On’ mode to receive the SMS. If the mobile phone is in ‘Off’’ mode then the customer may not get / get after delay any alerts sent during such period.

2. redBus will make best efforts to provide the service and it shall be deemed that the customer shall have received the information sent from redBus as an alert on the mobile phone number provided during the course of ticket booking and redBus shall not be under any obligation to confirm the authenticity of the person(s) receiving the alert. The customer cannot hold redBus liable for non-availability of the service in any manner whatsoever.

3. The customer acknowledges that the SMS service provided by redBus is an additional facility provided for the customer’s convenience and that it may be susceptible to error, omission and/ or inaccuracy. In the event the customer observes any error in the information provided in the alert, redBus shall be immediately informed about the same by the customer and redBus will make best possible efforts to rectify the error as early as possible. The customer shall not hold redBus liable for any loss, damages, claim, expense including legal cost that may be incurred/ suffered by the customer on account of the SMS facility.

4. The customer acknowledges that the clarity, readability, accuracy, and promptness of providing the service depend on many factors including the infrastructure, connectivity of the service provider. redBus shall not be responsible for any non-delivery, delayed delivery or distortion of the alert in any way whatsoever.

5. The customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless redBus and the SMS service provider including its officials from any damages, claims, demands, proceedings, loss, cost, charges and expenses whatsoever including legal charges and attorney fees which redBus and the SMS service provider may at any time incur, sustain, suffer or be put to as a consequence of or arising out of (i) misuse, improper or fraudulent information provided by the customer, (ii) the customer providing incorrect number or providing a number that belongs to that of an unrelated third party, and/or (iii) the customer receiving any message relating to the reservation number, travel itinerary information, booking confirmation, modification to a ticket, cancellation of ticket, change in bus schedule, delay, and/or rescheduling from redBus and/or the SMS service provider.

6. By accepting the terms and conditions the customer acknowledges and agrees that redBus may call the mobile phone number provided by the customer while registering for the service or to any such number replaced and informed by the customer, for the purpose of collecting feedback from the customer regarding their travel, the bus facilities and/or services of the bus operator.

7. Grievances and claims related to the bus journey should be reported to redBus support team within 10 days of your travel date.

Terms and Conditions - Hotels

These terms and conditions, as may be amended from time to time, apply to all our services directly or indirectly (through distributors) made available online, through any mobile device, by email or by telephone. By accessing, browsing and using our website or any of our applications through whatever platform (hereafter collectively referred to as the "website") and/or by completing a reservation, you acknowledge and agree to have read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions set out below (including the privacy statement).


These pages, the content and infrastructure of these pages, and the online accommodations reservation service provided on these pages and through the website (the "service") are owned, operated and provided by redbus.in ("redbus.in", "us", "we" or "our") and are provided for your personal, non-commercial use only, subject to the terms and conditions set out below.

Scope of our Service

Through the website, we (redbus.in and its affiliate (distribution) partners) provide an online platform through which all types of temporary accommodations (for example hotels, motels, hostels and bed & breakfasts, collectively the "accommodation(s)"), can advertise their rooms for reservation, and through which visitors to the website can make such reservations. By making a reservation through redbus.in, you enter into a direct (legally binding) contractual relationship with the accommodation provider at which you book. From the point at which you make your reservation, we act solely as an intermediary between you and the provider, transmitting the details of your reservation to the relevant accommodation provider and sending you a confirmation email for and on behalf of the accommodation provider.


When rendering our services, the information that we disclose is based on the information provided to us by accommodation providers. As such, the accommodation providers are given access to an extranet through which they are fully responsible for updating all rates, availability and other information which is displayed on our website. Although we will use reasonable skill and care in performing our services we will not verify if, and cannot guarantee that, all information is accurate, complete or correct, nor can we be held responsible for any errors (including manifest and typographical errors), any interruptions (whether due to any (temporary and/or partial) breakdown, repair, upgrade or maintenance of our website or otherwise), inaccurate, misleading or untrue information or non-delivery of information. Each accommodation provider remains responsible at all times for the accuracy, completeness and correctness of the (descriptive) information (including the rates and availability) displayed on our website. Our website does not constitute and should not be regarded as a recommendation or endorsement of the quality, service level, qualification or (star) rating of any accommodations made available.


Our services are made available for personal and non-commercial use only. Therefore, you are not allowed to re-sell, deep-link, use, copy, monitor (e.g. spider, scrape), display, download or reproduce any content or information, software, products or services available on our website for any commercial or competitive activity or purpose.

Prices and Best Price Guarantee

The prices on our site are highly competitive. All prices on the redbus.in website are per room for your entire stay and are displayed including all taxes.

Sometimes cheaper rates are available on our website for a specific stay at a property, however, these rates made by accommodations providers may carry special restrictions and conditions, for example in respect to cancellation and refund. Please check the room and rate details thoroughly for any such conditions prior to making your reservation.

Obvious errors and mistakes (including misprints) are not binding.

All special offers and promotions are marked as such.

Free of Charge

Our service is free of charge because, unlike many other parties, we will not charge you for our service or add any additional (reservation) fees to the room rate.

Credit Card

If applicable and available, certain accommodation providers offer the opportunity for reservations to be paid (wholly or partly and as required under the payment policy of the accommodation) to the accommodation provider during the reservation process by means of secure online payment (all to the extent offered and supported by your bank). Payment is safely processed from your credit/debit card or bank account to the bank account of the accommodation provider through a third party payment processor.


For certain rates or special offers, please note that your credit card may be pre-authorized or charged (sometimes without any option for refund) upon reservation and confirmation of the booking. Please check the room details thoroughly for any such conditions prior to making your reservation.

Cancellation

By making a reservation with an accommodation provider, you accept and agree to the relevant cancellation and no-show policy of that accommodation provider, and to any additional (delivery) terms and conditions of the accommodation provider that may apply to your reservation or during your stay, including for services rendered and/or products offered by the accommodation provider (the delivery terms and conditions of an accommodation provider can be obtained with the relevant accommodation provider). The general cancellation and no-show policy of each accommodation provider is made available on our website on the accommodation information pages, during the reservation procedure and in the confirmation email. Please note that certain rates or special offers are not eligible for cancellation or change. Please check the room details thoroughly for any such conditions prior to making your reservation. Please note that a reservation which requires down payment or (wholly or partly) prepayment may be cancelled (without a prior notice of default or warning) insofar the relevant (remaining) amount(s) cannot be collected in full on the relevant payment date in accordance with the relevant payment policy of the accommodation and the reservation. Late payment, wrong bank, debit or credit card details, invalid credit/debit cards or insufficient funds are for your own risk and account and you shall not be entitled to any refund of any (non-refundable) prepaid amount unless the accommodation agrees or allows otherwise under its (pre)payment and cancellation policy.


If you wish to review, adjust or cancel your reservation, please revert to the confirmation email and follow the instructions therein. Please note that you may be charged for your cancellation in accordance with the accommodation provider's cancellation, (pre)payment and no-show policy or not be entitled to any repayment of any (pre)paid amount. We recommend that you read the cancellation, (pre)payment and no-show policy of the accommodation provider carefully prior to making your reservation and remember to make further payments on time as may be required for the relevant reservation.


Disclaimer

Subject to the limitations set out in these terms and conditions and to the extent permitted by law, we shall only be liable for direct damages actually suffered, paid or incurred by you due to an attributable shortcoming of our obligations in respect to our services, up to an aggregate amount of the aggregate cost of your reservation as set out in the confirmation email (whether for one event or series of connected events).


However and to the extent permitted by law, neither we nor any of our officers, directors, employees, representatives, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, distributors, affiliate (distribution) partners, licensees, agents or others involved in creating, sponsoring, promoting, or otherwise making available the site and its contents shall be liable for (i) any punitive, special, indirect or consequential loss or damages, any loss of production, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of contract, loss of or damage to goodwill or reputation, loss of claim, (ii) any inaccuracy relating to the (descriptive) information (including rates, availability and ratings) of the accommodation as made available on our website, (iii) the services rendered or the products offered by the accommodation provider, (iv) any (direct, indirect, consequential or punitive) damages, losses or costs suffered, incurred or paid by you, pursuant to, arising out of or in connection with the use, inability to use or delay of our website, or (v) for any (personal) injury, death, property damage, or other (direct, indirect, special, consequential or punitive) damages, losses or costs suffered, incurred or paid by you, whether due to (legal) acts, errors, breaches, (gross) negligence, willful misconduct, omissions, non-performance, misrepresentations, tort or strict liability by or (wholly or partly) attributable to the accommodation (its employees, directors, officers, agents, representatives or affiliated companies), including any (partial) cancellation, overbooking, strike, force majeure or any other event beyond our control.


Whether the property you stay at charges you (or has charged you) for your room, or we are facilitating the payment of the room price, you agree and acknowledge that the property is at all times responsible for the collection, withholding, remittance and payment of the applicable taxes due on the total amount of the room price to the relevant tax authorities. redbus.in is not liable or responsible for the remittance, collection, withholding or payment of the relevant taxes due on the room price to the relevant tax authorities.

Intellectual property rights

Unless stated otherwise, the software required for our services or available on or used by our website and the intellectual property rights (including the copyrights) of the contents and information of and material on our website are owned by redbus.in its suppliers or providers.


To the extent permitted by law, these terms and conditions and the provision of our services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Indian law and any dispute arising out of these general terms and conditions and our services shall exclusively be submitted to the competent courts in Bangalore, India.


If any provision of these terms and conditions is or becomes invalid, unenforceable or non-binding, you shall remain bound by all other provisions hereof. In such event, such invalid provision shall nonetheless be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and you will at least agree to accept a similar effect as the invalid, unenforceable or non-binding provision, given the contents and purpose of these terms and conditions.


The primary guest must be at least 18 years old to be able to check into the hotel.

Check-in time is 12 pm and check-out time is 12 pm. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and the hotel might charge you extra for it. Please note that the check-in time is subject to change as per hotel policy.


Your stay does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips. The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.


It is mandatory for guests to present valid photo identification at the time of check-in. According to government regulations, a valid Photo ID has to be carried by every person above the age of 18 staying at the hotel. The identification proofs accepted are Drivers License, Voters Card, and Passport. Without valid ID the guest will not be allowed to check in. Note- PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.

The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation may be denied to guests posing as a 'couple' if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Company will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.

Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.

Government has levied service tax on hotel room charges effective on stays from 1st May 2011. This tax may be required to be settled directly at the hotel.

redBus offers FREE CANCELLATION to all its hotel booking users. This means redbus.in doesn't levy any cancellation fee of its own.

However hotels being booked may have their own cancellation policy and may charge user accordingly.


Cancellations can be done online as well through our call-centre.

Cancellations are only through our call centre – 080 30970888. However we would introduce online cancellation in the near future.

If you don't show up at the hotel, you'll still be charged the entire amount.

Modifications & Refunds

redBus doesn't support changes and modifications to online bookings once they're made.

Don't call the hotel directly for reservation changes or cancellations. The hotel's agents can't make changes to or process refunds for these specially-negotiated rates.

We take at least 7 to 10 working days to process refunds for bookings cancelled online.

Your bank may debit its own separate charges from refunds made to your credit card or bank account.
